Cancellations, Returns and Refunds.
We understand how unpredictable preparing for birth can be and that sometimes plans change. Please see the information below which explains the process for refunds following a cancellation.
- Pool hire cancelled before dispatch - full refund.
- Pool hire cancelled after dispatch but before delivery/on day of delivery (pool must be collected following day) - full refund less £5 administration fee and delivery charges.
- Pool hire cancelled on or after the first day of your hire period - As your hire has begun no further refunds for your pool hire can be made. However, we understand how costly prepairing for a baby is therefore, we are happy to refund you the cost of all the disposable items, eg the liner, hose, sieve, groundsheet and thermometer. This refund will amount to what we pay for them. To qualify for this refund items will need to be returned in their original sealed packaging and as they arrived with yourself.
Gentle Births agree to refund in full any products purchased in addition to your hire that have been returned, unused and sealed within 30 days receipt.
If in the unlikely event an item purchased via Gentle Births is faulty, we will of course, send a replacement product immediately to you. It is your responsibility to check your items within 3 days of receipt to allow us adequate time to replace any damaged, missing or faulty items.

TENS machine hire
Cancellation of TENS machine hire will be refunded in full if cancelled prior to dispatch.
If we are notified that the TENs hire has been cancelled after dispatch but before delivery of the equipment your TENs can be returned for refund minus delivery charge.
Once delivered the hire has begun and unfortunatley you will no longer qualify for a refund.
